Everything went fine. There weren't any problems or delays, and Frankie was really well-behaved. Still, it's about 24 hours, door-to-door. By the time we hit that last stretch of the trip driving home from Denver on I-25, I think we were all a little sick of being in transit. We got home at 9pm, exhausted and starving. We knew that the lawn wasn't mowed, there was no food in the cupboard, and the fridge wasn't even turned on. We were kind of dreading comeing back to a bit of a... rustic situation.
Since that was what we were excpecting, imagine our shock and delight in pulling up to the house and seeing a freshly mowed lawn. It was so awesome! Like a hoarde of helpful gnomes had descended on the house.
Then, inside, the first thing we saw was this:
It was a welcome home gift from The Dove. Not only had Mark mowed the lawn, but he had also plugged in the fridge and stocked it with groceries. He even left us an absolutely beautiful bouquet of flowers. I was so incredibly touched. I have the best brother ever!
I really should have brought over some coffee for Matt too. Glad you enjoyed it though. :)
