Mark arrived in Maryport this afternoon, safe and sound. He had a loooong travel day, but seemed to be feeling pretty spry when he arrived. He's only been here a few hours, but already he's had:
A stroll through the graden
A tour of Frankie's school
A "Went" emergency (we had to back down The Went so an ambulance could get through)
A tour of the Kirkborough House, courtesy of Frankie
A visit from Ken's friend, Allen (trying to explain why he couldn't take away the abandoned Suzuki)
A yummy dinner of Cumbrian sausages and carmalized onions
Bathtime with Frank
Tomorrow, I think we'll just take it easy. Maybe a trip to the grocery store, and a tour of Maryport? If I'm feeling particularly adventurous, maybe we'll even go out to dinner at the local pub.
It's so good to have him here-- I'm feeling pretty darn happy tonight.

Hooray! It sounds like a great visit already! Have you had tea and crumpets? Were you dressed like the Queen when he arrived? Better yet, was Mark dressed like the Queen? ;)
Sounds like a wonderful first day. I love the pics--it's so wonderfully green there in the Lake District! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your adventures!
