It was a long drive over to York, and when we got there we were giddy with excitement. It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny. The city was crammed with people, happily sighteeing, shopping, and lounging in cafes. The crowds were never overwhelming (like in London), everyone we passed seemed cheerful and smiling, and the day had a very relaxed, easygoing vibe.
We sat down at an outdoor cafe and ordered a few pints, and drank a toast to the city.

Frankie really seemed to fit in in York with the hip, young outfit and a pint sitting in front of here. She was such a great sport at all the different restaurants even though she secretly wished for a good run in a park somewhere.
That picture cracks me up, because it totally looks like she's drinking a pint with a straw in it. Really, it's just an optical illusion accidentally created by the camera angle. If you look really carefully, you'll see the glass of milk she *really* has in front of her.
