A Bad Week

In the span of a week, we had to deal with three pretty bad things at the Myers/Cole household:

1) Sweet old Roscoe passed away, leaving the house a very quiet and lonely place.

2) A horrible windstorm blew over the beautiful (and gigantic) willow tree in our backyard. Thankfully it didn't hit the house, but the removal process is going to be labor-intensive (ie: Matt, meet chainsaw), and we're really going to miss that beautiful old tree.

3) Our income tax bill came in, and we owe a mind-boggling 7500 dollars to the US government. That pretty much wipes out our savings, and puts the kibosh on many (probablly most) of the house renovation projects we were planning.

So... I'm pretty glad that week is over, and I'm hoping that we've run through all of our bad juju.

I agree that it was a "no good, very bad day" but it will get better.

Bad things come in threes, so hopefully you're in the clear now. Just in case, stay away from ladders, mirrors, and black cats.
