Edinburgh Castle

People have lived on the site of Edinburgh Castle since 9 BC, and there's been a royal castle there since the 12th century. It's a pretty impressive place... It looks very foreboding as it's perched on top of a large hill, surrounded by rocky cliffs on all sides but one.

It looks unreal, almost like a movie set. The fact that the caste has survived so long is a testament to how solidly constructed and well-placed it is. You can easily imagine that once upon a time it was completely untouchable.

The city was so much fun to visit. It really made the trip seem like a European vacation. Walking down the streets, seeing all of the history, felt VERY different than back home... but in a good way. Anyone would enjoy this city. Simply beautiful!

Permagrin! The castle is so beautiful, and the weather looks as if it was ideal. That blue sky and all of that old, old stone. Gorgeous.

I'm so glad you two are exploring the city together! Dove, you look happy. Tiff, is that a Cheyenne brooch I see in one of the pics? :)
