Greyfriars Cemetery

This is the cemetery that Dove and I walked through on our ghost tour. Even though it was 9 at night, it was a bright as a Colorado afternoon outside, blue skies and sunshine all the way. Rare weather for Edinburgh, to be sure. The weather didn't exactly cooperate to the eerie and foreboding vibe the guide was trying to create. Mostly, I was struck by how beautiful the place was.

This gravesite fused the headstone to the top of a cage---An excellent choice for preventing zombie attacks.

I love cemetaries for what they tell about the history of the area. What dates are we looking at? Did you see evidence of plagues?

The cemetery has a very dark history, and has quite a few ties to the plague years. The background on Greyfriars was really interesting, actually. Maybe you should take the tour when you're in Edinburgh? You might find it interesting from a historical point of view.
