Uncle Mark Heads Home

Uncle Mark left Maryport today, and is on his way back to America. It was so sad to see him go!

We took Mark to Muncaster Castle yesterday for a Saturday outing, and on the way there we broke the news to Frankie that it would be our last day together with Mark in England.

When she heard the news that Mark would be going back to America the next day, she looked out the window and was quiet for a long time. (Rare, for Frankie.) Then she sighed and said, sadly, "Sometimes I just wish I could stop the world from spinning."

Me too, Frankie. Me too.

Here's a bit more from our last day at Muncaster:

So heartbreaking, Frankie! I wish the world would stop spinning, too. Quite often. :)

I made it home safe & sound. It was a wonderful vacation! It's pretty darn fun at the Kirkburough house!

It sounds and looks like you all had such a great time together. These will be such great memories. When it's time to say goodbye we all wish the world would stop.

Here's to family-- There's nothing more important and wonderful, and these pictures are proof perfect!

Pretty soon, Frankie will be playing Super Burrito with Uncle Mark right here in Ft. Collins....
