They made it!

Jim and Jo arrived in Maryport this afternoon, and the weather greeted them in a perfectly English fashion-- It was grey and rainy all day. We had planned to go to a carnival in the town center, but wimped out because we didn't feel like standing around in the rain. Instead Matt whipped up a big batch of his famous broccoli soup, and we hung out around the house chatting. It was a lovely, relaxing afternoon.

At one point, Jo went upstairs with Frankie to get a tour of her room, and accidentally fell asleep on Frankie's bed. Frankie came downstairs and was totally perplexed... "One minute I was talking to grandma, and the next thing I knew she was all asleep!"

Jo pepped right up after her catnap, and is currently putting Frankie to bed. Frankie is so happy to have Jim and Jo here (we are too, of course). Frankie looked out of the downstairs window all morning, waiting for their car to pull up. It was really adorable.

A rainy day with broccoli soup and good conversation sounds perfect to me! :)
